Following the recent order of the Uttarakhand High Court and instructions of Department of Telecommunication (DoT), Reliance Jio has banned many adult websites. Many users have said on Reddit that many porn websites are no longer available on the Jio network. A Reddit user has written, 'I was trying to load some porn sites, but none of these were loaded on the Jio network. Is it happening with me or you are facing such a problem?'

What is Court Order?
It is worth mentioning that after the order of the Uttarakhand High Court, the Department of Telecom (DoT) has instructed all Internet Service Providers to block 827 websites containing pornographic content on their platform as soon as possible. The court ordered this on September 28, in which it said that these sites shall be banned by Internet Service Providers else their license may be canceled.

Remaining Telecom companies may also follow it:
After the order of the court, Jio has started it, it is believed that the rest Telecom Service Providers will also implement this ban. Jio blocked porn websites by following DoT's instructions and it is believed that the rest of the internet service providers will do the same.
