The Online submission of form by the candidates placed in the category FAIL/COMPARTMENT and those who wish to appear for improving their performance or for an Additional subject as Private candidate for the examination scheduled to be held in February/March/April 2019 has been started. The examinations for the subjects to be held in February and March/April are given in Circular No. Coord./Exam/2018 dated 5th October, 2018 available on the website www.cbse.nic.in.

A. Features of Online system of registration are:
i) No form will be accepted in offline mode. All forms will only be accepted on online mode and as per the schedules given.
ii) Fees for all activities will be accepted only through digital payments mode. The requisite fee can be paid through Net banking, debit/credit card (both national/ international). No fee shall be accepted in offline mode i.e DD/Postal Order /Money order/ cheque etc. No application will be accepted without fee.
iii) Candidates will be provided question papers in the same medium as filled in the Form. Meaning thereby, if a candidate is opting English as a medium, he will be supplied question papers in only English language. If a student opting Hindi as medium, he will be supplied bilingual question papers i.e. in Hindi & English. Candidates are therefore requested to fill the correct medium of Question Paper and correct option only to avoid last minute problem. Medium will not be changed later on.
iv) Board is extending several exemptions/concessions to candidates with disabilities as defined in the “THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT 2016”. In this context, NOTIFICATION No. CBSE/Coord/112233/2018 dated 26.09.2018 issued by the Board, may please be referred to. For seeking exemptions/concessions, Candidates will be required to send copy of the Medical Certificate (Disability Certificate) to the concerned Regional Office of CBSE as given in Annexure.
v) Details in respect of candidates who have appeared in the Board’s examination held in 2018 examination will be auto-generated in the online system. However, candidates of 2017 or prior will need to submit the details on the online portal. If a candidate makes wrong entries in his/her application form or gives false statement or produces false document, his/her form shall be rejected, fee paid shall be forfeited and such candidates shall be considered to have used unfair practices and dealt accordingly.
vi) For the Examination - 2019, controlling region for the candidate will be decided by the online system based on the current residential address entered by the applicant. For example: if candidate has appeared in class XII main examination from Varanasi (under Regional Office Allahabad) and is now filling the address of Jaipur, which is under Regional Office, Ajmer, the examination centre will be allotted under the jurisdiction of Regional Office, Ajmer. However, eligibility for appearing in the examination will be decided by the Regional Office Allahabad.
vii) It has been observed that some candidates complete the online entry of application but do not remit the fee. If fee is not remitted by last date, his/her application will be rejected without any notice.
viii) Mere submission of form and payment of fee will not confer a right on the candidate for appearing in the examination. His/her eligibility will depend upon the fulfillment of the eligibility conditions prescribed by the Board.

B. GENERAL INFORMATION APPLICABLE BOTH FOR CLASS X AND XII:
1. Examination centre once allotted will be final and no request for change of examination centre will be acceded to. Examination centre will be allotted by the Board based on the current residential address of applicant.
2. Candidate will be able to apply only for subjects which are auto-generated in the system.
3. Fresh (New) Roll Number will be allotted by the Board for the candidates appearing in 2019. In no case the candidates will be allowed to appear with the previous year’s Roll No.
4. (I) For candidates who have given their address other than Delhi:
(a) Admit Card: Eligible candidate will be able to download their Admit Card from the CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in in the month of February 2019.
(b) Dispatch of original Marksheet/Certificate: Original Marksheet/Certificate will be sent by the concerned Regional Office to the residential address given by the applicant in the application form, by Speed Post.
(II) For candidates who have given their address of Delhi:
(a) Admit Card: Eligible candidate will be able to download their Admit Card from the CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in in the month of February 2019.
(b) Dispatch of original of Marksheet/Certificate: Original Marksheet/Certificate will be sent by Regional Office, Delhi to the examination centre where the candidate had appeared for the examination. Candidate can collect the Marksheet/Certificate from the examination centre on production of original admit card.
(III) Declaration of Result: Result will be declared during the months of May/June 2019 and will be available on the CBSE website. However, no enquiries related to the actual date of declaration of result will be attended to.
(IV) Issue of Marksheet/Certificate:
(a) Original mark-sheet and certificate of previous year examination is not to be surrendered to the CBSE.
(b) Marksheet of 2019 examination will be issued to all the candidates who will appear for the examination in the month of February/March/April, 2019 immediately after declaration of result.
(c) Certificate for 2019 examination will be issued in the month of June/July 2019 only to those candidates who will PASS the examination as per the Pass criteria of the CBSE.
(d) Candidate appearing for Improvement of Performance or for Additional subject will be issued a separate fresh Marksheet reflecting only the marks obtained in the said examination.
(e) Consolidated marksheet will be issued only to such candidate who will appear for 2nd chance Compartment and will pass in the said Compartment Examination in 2019. Consolidated marksheet will contain marks obtained in the subjects passed in the previous examination held in March/April 2018 as also the marks obtained in the subject appeared for at the 2nd chance Compartment examination.
(V) Candidates will be examined only in the Syllabus as prescribed for the year of examination. Candidate must go through the eligibility and pass criteria as well as current curriculum and scheme of studies available on the CBSE website www.cbseacademic.in/curriculum.html carefully before filling the form.

C. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLASS-X:
(a) Candidate will be provided question papers in the same medium as filled in the form. Meaning thereby, if a candidate is opting English as a medium, he will be supplied question papers in only English language. If a candidate opting Hindi as medium he will be supplied bilingual question papers i.e. in Hindi & English. Candidates is therefore requested to fill the correct medium of Question Paper and correct option only to avoid last minute problem. Medium will not be changed later on.
(b) If a candidate fails in any one of the three compulsory academic subjects (i.e. Science, Mathematics and Social Science) and passes the Skill subject (offered as 6th optional subject) then it will be replaced by the Skill subject and result of Class X Board examination will be computed accordingly (only for 2018 or earlier).
(c) If a candidate fails in any language subject out of first five subjects, the same will be replaced by language taken as seventh subject (optional) provided he or she has passed seventh language subject and after replacement either Hindi or English remains as passed language in first five subjects.
(d) Hindi or English should be one of the two languages to be offered. Hindi and English can also be offered simultaneously. In Hindi and English, two courses have been provided for class IX and X keeping in view the varying backgrounds of the students and a candidate may either opt for Hindi A (Code 002) or Hindi B (Code 085) or English Communicative(Code 101) or English Language & Literature(Code184).
(e) Board has prescribed scheme of studies which is available in the Curriculum on the link http://cbseacademic.nic.in/curriculum.html on website http://cbseacademic.nic.in/ for Secondary and Senior Secondary classes. Candidate is required to offer the subjects in adherence with the Scheme of Studies only.
(f) Board is extending several exemptions/concessions to candidates with disabilities as defined in the “THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT 2016”. In this context, NOTIFICATION No. CBSE/Coord/112233/2018 dated 26.09.2018 issued by the Board, may please be referred to. For seeking exemptions/concessions, Candidates will be required to send copy of the Medical Certificate (Disability Certificate) alongwith confirmation page to the concerned Regional Office.
(g) Board issues mark sheet indicating marks obtained in each subject separately. No aggregate score/percentage is mentioned by the Board. Candidates who take 6/7 subjects and pass in all 6/7 subjects, the percentage is to be calculated according to the norms of college/institution in which the candidate is seeking admission.
(h) If there is a violation of scheme of study the data uploaded will show error on server after uploading. The error will be rectified only after choosing correct subject combinations.
(i) In cases where candidate opts to take only 6 subjects with Language III as additional (at 7th place) and vocational/academic elective (at 6th place) is not opted Language-III chosen at 7th place will automatically become 6th subject of that candidate. However, no such replacement benefit with failing subject will be available to such candidate.

D. General instructions:
(i) The first 5 subjects in the chronological order of filling the subjects in online system are considered as Main subjects.
(ii) Marks obtained in Theory examination will be converted to 100 Marks.
(iii) Private candidates cannot take subjects which have laboratory practice involved, however, women Private candidate can offer Home Science with Practical.

E. Instructions to fill Online Private Application form:
- Candidates details who have appeared in the Board examinations held in 2018 will be auto-generated in the online system. Candidates of 2017 (or prior) will need to submit the details on the online application form.
- Put correct combination of your Roll number, School number and Centre number (as given in your marksheet) of Board Examination (not applicable for fresh female candidates).
- In case wrong details are filled the application will be processed and error message will be displayed.
- Student can fill only one application form. In case your application is already submitted you will not be allowed to apply again.
- Name, Father’s name, Mother’s name will be auto generated in case of candidate who have appeared in 2018.
- Applicant will be required to provide mobile number, email ID in correct format and correct postal address. Phone number should be of 10 digits and should contain numbers only.
- For the 2019 examination, controlling region for the candidate will be decided by the online system, based on the current residential address entered by the applicant. For example: if candidate has appeared in class XII main examination from Varanasi (Regional Office Allahabad) and is now mentioning the residential address as Jaipur, which is under Regional Office, Ajmer, the centre of examination will be at Jaipur which will be under the jurisdiction of Regional Office, Ajmer
- Applicants need to upload scanned jpg files of their Photo and signature not exceeding 40 KB in size.
- The code number of subject and medium should be entered very carefully, after comparing with previous marks statements, if available. Candidate entering medium as English will be getting question papers only in English version. However, candidate entering medium as Hindi will be provided bilingual question papers i.e. in Hindi and English versions. For medium code write (1) for English and (2) for Hindi.
- Particular care should be taken for indicating the subject code against languages as there is more than one type of courses. For language, medium code is not required.
- Persons with Benchmark disabilities as defined in the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 will be required to send copy of the Medical Certificate (Disability Certificate) to the concerned Regional Office within 07 days of submitting the online application form. However. In respect of candidates belonging to remote areas viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi sub division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep and schools in foreign countries the time period is 15 days grace time in place of 7 days.

F. FEE PAYMENT:
(a) CBSE is now accepting fees for all activities only through digital payments mode such as Netbanking, Debit/Credit card (both national/ international).
(b) The requisite fee can be deposited through payment gateway/ Netbanking, debit/credit card (both national/ international). No fee shall be accepted in offline mode i.e DD/ Postal Order /Money order/ cheque etc. No application will be accepted without fee
(c) Fee paid is automatically updated by the Banks on CBSE server within 24 hours.
(d) In case of Bank related transaction or non updation of Fee on server the candidates should contact the respective Bank through which payment was made. Contact details of Banks is given on website of CBSE.
(e) Following may be informed to the bank while making communication with Bank:
(i) Mode of Payment
(ii) Fee Reference No.
(iii) Amount paid
(iv) Date of paying the amount
(v) Bank reference number (Transaction ID as reflected in Bank account)
(vi) Your contact number
