If you are the customer of State Bank of India (SBI) and taking advantage of the Net Banking facility, then the facility may be discontinued from December 1, 2018 if the mobile number is not registered with the bank.

The SBI has issued notification to all its customers on its SBI online banking website and said that "Attention INB users, please register your mobile number with us immediately, if not already done, through Branch, failing which the Internet Banking Facility may be blocked with effect from 01.12.2018".

Although the bank has clarified that Net Banking facility will be continued for those whose mobile number is already registered with the bank. According to the circular issued on July 6, 2017 by the Reserve Bank of India, all the banking customers need to register their mobile number and e-mail ID. In the direction of this, the bank can also block your account.

How to check whether Mobile Number is registered or not?:

1. Login to the SBI website www.onlinesbi.com

2. Click on “My Account and Profile” tab.

3. Click on “Personal Details/Mobile” on profile tab

4. After this, you will be asked for a profile password.

5. The profile password is always different from the login password.

6. Once you submit the profile password, you will see your registered mobile number and e-mail ID.

7. If the mobile number is not shown then it has to be registered by going to the bank branch.
