Now you can easily withdraw money from the ATM without any debit card. For this you only need the mobile app and SMS. Initially, this service will be available at selected ATMs of the country. Airtel Payment Bank, the country's premier payment bank, has launched this kind of service for the first time.
Facility available at 20,000 ATMs:
At present, Airtel has started this facility at 20,000 ATMs of the country. By the end of the year, this service will be available at 1,00,000 ATMs. The company has said that the customers will get initial 2 transactions free, and the people will have to pay additional 25 rupees from the 3rd transaction.
Anubrata Biswas, MD and CEO of Airtel Payment Bank said in a statement, "We believe in digital India. We are making this a reality by providing innovative digital solutions that enhance banking. Our tie-up with empays is an important step that enables our customers to realize digital, phone based cash withdrawals at over 100,000 ATMs, through either USSD or the MyAirtel App. We will accelerate such steps to make digital banking with Airtel Payments Bank simple and easy."
How the money could be withdrawn?:
The money can be withdrawn by two alternatives mentioned below:
A. Using MyAirtel App:
1. Visit an IMT (Instant Money Transfer)-enabled ATM
2. Enter mobile number
3. Enter sender code
4. Enter OTP
5. Select “ATM self withdrawal” option
6. Enter amount
7. Cash will be dispensed
B. Using USSD:
1. Visit an IMT (Instant Money Transfer)-enabled ATM
2. Dial *400*2# by registered mobile number
3. Select “Cardless cash withdrawal” option
4. Select “ATM self withdrawal” option
5. Enter amount
6. Enter mPIN
7. Cash will be dispensed
