Good news for those traveling through DTC buses in Delhi-NCR. Now if you travel in Delhi Metro through the card, then you can do it in DTC buses too. While announcing the matter, the Delhi Government said that passengers traveling through Metro Card will be able to travel from Friday to DTC and cluster buses. For this, passengers will not have to take tickets separately to travel in buses. This card is also known as Common Mobility Card.
Recharge of cards:
To travel in DTC and cluster buses, passengers will have to give metro card to conductor, after which the card will be used to swipe in the machine and the ticket will be generated. However passengers will have to recharge card on metro stations. The DTC Pass making counter will only sell the card but the recharge will be done at metro stations.
In addition to Metro station, passengers can recharge from Paytm, online banking, Delhi Metro website, phone pay app etc. For this the passengers will not have to pay any extra charges.
Tourists will also get benefit:
With the commencement of use of Common Mobility Cards, Tourists coming to Delhi will get benefit. Travelers will be able to travel in metro and buses from Delhi with the same card.
Delhi becomes the first city in the country:
The same Common Mobility Card will be used in Delhi Metro train, DTC and Cluster buses from August 24, 2018. The city of Delhi, which uses Common Mobility Cards in India, will be the first city where passengers have the freedom of cash free travel. Delhi has around 3,900 DTC and over 1,600 cluster buses and the common mobility card would be valid for all buses.
