The Petroleum Ministry has recently approved the concept of portable petrol pumps and service station, following which Delhi based company Alinz Portable Petrol Pvt Ltd, with a technology partner Czech Republic, has begun work on setting up manufacturing facilities for such pumps. Soon you will find these petrol pumps like 'milk booth' on the side of the road, from where you can fill petrol, diesel or CNG in your car. It is already being used in almost 35 countries around the world and it is being used for the first time in India.
What is Portable Petrol Pump:
As the name suggests, the portable petrol pump can be easily moved from one place to another. In this, the fuel dispensing machine is attached to the container. The entire unit is loaded onto the truck and kept on the road side. It takes only 2 hours to place or remove it at some place. For this, very small area of land will be required.
How to use:
It is used like milk booths or ATMs. You can choose petrol, diesel or gas option by pressing a few buttons and then take the fuel by paying according to the quantity.
Payment mode:
Cashless payments will be arranged on the portable petrol pump. You will make cashless payments from debit-credit cards, e-wallet, etc.
No Employee:
Portable petrol pump works on the 'self service' model. Here you will not have any employee to give fuel. You’ll have to fill the fuel in your vehicle yourself.
“We are in advanced talks with state governments and petroleum companies for setting up of four to seven production units across the country with an investment of Rs 400 crore per plant,” Alinz MD Inderjeet Pruthi said.
In cities, you get petrol easily, but in rural areas, people have to go far enough for the petrol pump. Portable petrol pumps can be a boon for such areas.
